1966 Corvette and 1967 Corvette

The 1966 Corvette, though similar in appearance to the previous year, received some small changes. The trim was done differently, including for the hood script. Also, a new square mesh cast grill was added, and the roof vents were removed. Headrests were available for the first time. However, the biggest change came with the introduction of the solid lift 427ci big block, which started out with a rating of 450hp but was reduced to 425hp shortly after introduction. Reasons why this was done are unknown.

In 1967 the Corvette L-88 made its debut at Le Mans. It's also the last of what is known as the Corvette mid-years (1963 to 1967). Due to the removal of the trim, the 1967 Corvette was the least adored of these model years.
